Welcome to Mission South Africa, where our mission is to showcase the awe-inspiring beauty and vibrant culture of South Africa while embodying faith in action. As Nelson Mandela once said, "It is in your hands to make a difference," and we believe that, through God's grace, we can leave a meaningful impact that endures for decades. Founded in 2013 by Jason D, a singer-songwriter originally from Durban, South Africa, now based in Greenville, North Carolina, our faith-based nonprofit has tirelessly served our community for over a decade. As we celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2024, we're honored to continue spreading God's love through innovative projects that uplift and empower our fellow South Africans. Join us in exploring our initiatives, and together, let's make a difference for His glory.
Our Story
Mission South Africa, led by Jason D and known as Elev8 Humanity, is a South African non-profit organization that specializes in mission trips within South Africa. Over the past decade, our projects have evolved from mere words and awareness campaigns into concrete actions that have positively impacted numerous lives in the Durban area.
Our guiding principle is deeply rooted in the biblical concept of "A Faith that Works," as found in James 2:14-26, and the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 25:35-40, where He says, "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat." These teachings inspire us to actively engage with our local communities, providing essential resources to those in need to improve their lives.
Through our various activities like organizing blanket drives, toy drives, providing food hampers, and hosting annual worship events, Mission South Africa has consistently shown the kindness of God, positively affecting the lives of thousands in South Africa and beyond.
As we look forward to 2024, a special moment awaits: Mission South Africa (Elev8) celebrating its ten-year anniversary. We're filled with anticipation for the next chapter of our journey. Together, we are committed to creating a legacy that will inspire generations to come.
In 2023, we made history by bringing the vibrant sounds of South African praise and worship to Greenville, North Carolina, for the very first time!
