JASON D BIOGRAPHY
Multi-Award artist, author and acclaimed songwriter Jason D continues to live out his dream
From the beautiful shores of Durban to streets of Nashville Tennessee to the amazing Marina Bay Skyline in Singapore. People from all over the globe are taking notice of this young South African who is taking the world by storm.
The journey started when Jason was 6 he received an opportunity to perform in front of the school assembly. After a successful performance and a standing ovation from the students this experience would create the spark that would fuel his musical voyage of discovery. Later on he joined his local church band MICC which played an influential role in his early development. Growing up listening to a variety of musicians and genres they all had an impact on shaping his own signature sound.
In the Early 2000's Jason started his training with his vocal mentor Francois Vermeulen and later on joined a local band SWJ. It was in his solo career that you would start to see his natural talent shine through.
In 2012 he reached the quarterfinals of the reality show SA's Got Talent, the following year Jason won the inaugural Walmart Global Talent Search in the United States. Representing South Africa in Arkansas US was a dream come through for him. Back home in 2014 he released his debut EP to critical acclaim, In 2015 Jason won his second Walmart Talent Search Award, singing in front of 19000 people to international audience from 27 countries. By now in South Africa Jason had received an SABC Crown Gospel Award Nomination in 2017. Early last year Jason received his first invite to the GMA Gospel Association in Nashville Tennessee the music capital of the world.
At present Jason is working on his book due for release in 2019 in addition he is currently working on a faith based movie.
With a new album in production Jason seeks to offer something different and unique to their fans by creating and sharing original music that will not only inspire you but bring you to understanding of why God created you. We would simply love to here from you and how the music has inspired you.
